The Project

This was a permanent retail environment that needed to stay calm and brand true, day after day.

The requirements were straightforward, but non-negotiable:

  • Daylight shifting through the space across the trading day
  • Close viewing distances and frequent photography
  • Minimal disruption during install and commissioning
  • Simple daily operation for store teams
  • Long-term consistency, not short-term impact

The screen’s job was to support the story, not become the story.

What we delivered

We designed and supplied a permanent DV-LED feature wall to sit behind the product story zone. It was treated as an architectural surface rather than a digital sign.

System overview (built for permanent retail):

  • DV-LED feature wall: approx. 4m (W) × 2.25m (H)
  • Fine pixel pitch selected for close viewing, photography, and clean typography (project-specific selection)
  • Permanent wall-mount solution designed for clean edges and flush alignment
  • Fixed signal path with locked playback profiles and predictable start-up behaviour
  • Calibrated brightness and gamma for daylight conditions without harshness
  • Service strategy designed around access, spares, and predictable maintenance

The design principle was stability.
In a permanent space, the screen should remove friction for years, not weeks.

Engineering choices that protected the outcome

1) Daylight-first calibration
We tuned for how the wall is actually seen in-store. Not for a headline brightness number. That kept blacks controlled, protected skin tones, and maintained Fjällräven’s palette as ambient light changed.

2) Clean edges and predictable sightlines
The wall sits behind merchandising. We planned content safe zones and sightlines so the visual experience feels intentional from the entrance and from within the space.

3) Simplified operation
Retail teams should not have to think about the screen. We delivered predictable start-up behaviour, clear operating notes, and a control setup that staff can run with confidence.

Content support

We worked with Fjällräven’s team to confirm formatting and playback behaviour for DV-LED. Small refinements helped the content feel calmer and more premium in the space. Less noise. More intent. Better readability.

Result

The wall anchors the retail environment without dominating it. Content stays legible through the trading day. The system stays predictable from open to close.

That is what a permanent DV-LED install should do.

After-care

Permanent means accountable. We documented configuration, calibration profiles, and preferred content settings. We also defined a practical support path for maintenance and future content updates. Support is treated as continuation, not an add-on.
