High-Profile Manchester Store Opening

The Project
Arc’teryx’s Manchester store opening was a visibility moment. But the requirement wasn’t “louder” daylight and reflections on the glazing
- Short attention windows from passing foot traffic
- A need for brand-true colour (not over-saturated “retail mode”)
- Long daily operating hours with minimal staff intervention
The display needed to earn attention without compromising the brand’s restraint.
What we delivered
We designed, supplied, and commissioned a daylight-facing DV-LED window display using MS Max Bright, configured specifically for high ambient light and glass reflections.
System overview (shopfront-first):
- MS Max Bright DV-LED wall behind glazing (size and pixel pitch selected for the viewinwithout* harsh whites or blown highlights (configuration-dependent approach)
- Stable signal path with a locked operating profile for day-to-day consistency
- Simple power-up / power-down behaviour alig street level
Engineering choices that protected the outcome
1) Daylight visibility without “showroom glare”
Shopfront LED fails when it’s either too dim (washed out) or too aggressive (colour breaks and the storefront feels noisy). We configured MS Max Bright for the specific glazing, ambient conditions, and content mix—keeping the image legible while preserving Arc’teryx’s tonal restraint.
2) Reflection-aware setup
We planned viewing angles and content composition to reduce the impact of reflections. The goal table daily operation**
A storefront is not a tech project once trading starts. We set up a stable control approach and provided clear operating notes so the system ran reliably with minimal staff involvement—day after day.
Content support
For launch and ongoing use, we guided content formatting for DV-LED—clean typography, controlled motion, and calibrated colour. That kept the storefront premium.
The shopfront became a quiet focal point on the street: visible in daylight, consistent through changing conditions, and operationally predictable.
That combination—visibility + control + reliability—is what protects the brand experience at the point of first impression.
After-care
We documented configuration, profiles, and preferred content settings, and set the system up for straightforward support and continuity over time. After-care is treated a
