Awards nights are a particular kind of stress test.
The room is full, the schedule is fixed, and the visual system has to perform without negotiation.

This project centred on the Ballroom at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. It is a large, formal space with strong architectural character and a defined stage environment. The room’s scale and presentation demands make screen performance visible to everyone, in the room and on camera.

We specified MS Pro because the requirement was not temporary spectacle.
It was a permanent, fine-pitch DV-LED system built for close viewing, broadcast angles, and long operating life. MS Pro is designed for premium hospitality and commercial environments where visual quality and architectural integration matter, without chasing high-brightness claims that do not apply indoors.

The design decisions were practical:

  • Resolution and viewing comfort suited to seated guests and camera positions, not a spec sheet target.

  • Stable colour and uniformity to keep skin tones and brand palettes consistent across changing lighting cues.

  • Quiet, controlled operation that does not introduce unwanted noise or heat into a live room.

  • Clean integration that respects the ballroom’s stage line and sightlines, rather than competing with them.

The system was commissioned for reliability first.
Awards production is iterative. Content changes right up to doors. The display needs to stay predictable as cues, lighting, and playback shift throughout the night. Our focus was to deliver a screen that behaves like infrastructure, not an experiment.

For the event itself, the wall carried the full stage language: hero backdrops, nominee content, transitions, and sponsor-safe loops. The benefit was consistency. One visual surface, calibrated and controlled, that the production team could trust from the first rehearsal to the final moment.
